In celebration of the 2.5 million airport arrivals expected this Christmas, Heathrow has collaborated with luxury British scarf designer, Karen Mabon, to create a limited edition ‘Home for Christmas’ design for the airport.
The exclusive design will feature on a luxury silk scarf, 200 of which are available to passengers who make a purchase using Heathrow’s complimentary personal shopping service in the airport throughout November and December. A limited number of the scarves are also available online at KarenMabon.com.
Upon close inspection of the design, the eagle eyed may notice two lovable bears, Doris and Edward, who warmed our hearts in last year’s first ever Heathrow Christmas ad.
For those looking to add a special touch to gifts purchased across the airport, the design will also feature on a special edition free gift-wrap, plus gift bags and tags. The Christmas gift-wrapping service will be available to passengers who purchase gifts in any store across all terminals in exchange for an Oxfam donation between 18th November and 2nd January.
Luxury scarf designer, Karen Mabon commented; “I am thrilled to be working with Heathrow to design an exclusive print for the limited-edition scarf and gift wrap. I really enjoyed the design process which was inspired by the fact that Heathrow brings you closer to the ones you love – after all that’s what makes Christmas special.”
Chris Annetts, Retail and Service Director for Heathrow, said; “We are delighted to be working with Karen Mabon to bring Heathrow passengers a little touch of luxury which captures the sentiment of reuniting with loved ones for the Christmas season.”
